prior to my first business trip to japan way back in 2000, one of the advice i kept hearing over and over was to buy the train map of the metro tokyo area. have it, and you won't get lost.


while i learned that that wasn't necessarily true (owing to my seemingly natural predisposition to get lost), i'd have to agree that it's a very helpful tool for getting around.
